Corrections Policy

Local Weekly Paper is committed to correcting material errors clearly and promptly.

How we handle corrections

When we confirm a factual error, we correct the affected article and, when the change is material, add an update or correction note that explains what was changed. Minor spelling, grammar, formatting, or style edits that do not alter the meaning of an article may be fixed without a correction note.

Developing stories

News can change quickly. An article may be updated as new official information becomes available. We aim to distinguish an update caused by new facts from a correction caused by an error in the original version.

Request a correction

If you believe an article contains a factual error, please use our Contact Us page. Include the article URL, the specific statement you believe is inaccurate, and a reliable source or document that supports the correction when possible.

We review correction requests on their merits. A request does not guarantee a change, but documented factual concerns are taken seriously.
