What we publish
Our current editorial direction emphasizes practical U.S. news and public-information explainers: changes that affect residents, consumer and community updates, government and regulatory information, and other topics where readers benefit from a concise explanation and links to authoritative sources.
How we work
For new and substantially updated articles, we prefer primary sources such as government agencies, courts, public records, official statements, regulatory notices, and original datasets. We use reputable secondary reporting when it adds necessary context or when primary documentation is not yet available.
We do not treat AI tools as sources of fact. Tools may assist with research organization or drafting, but material claims should be checked against reliable sources before publication. We do not permit fabricated quotations or invented sources.
A site rebuild in progress
Local Weekly Paper is undergoing a substantial editorial and SEO rebuild. Some legacy articles from the earlier version of the site may not meet our current standards. We are reviewing the archive and may rewrite, noindex, redirect, or remove older pages that cannot be adequately verified or do not provide enough value to readers.
